Jan began his film career over two decades ago in Vernon, BC, creating action sports videos with friends using a VHS camcorder. Now based in Vancouver, he primarily works as a camera operator, gimbal tech and precision driver for his new business, Spatial Camera.

 

In 2024, Jan co-founded Spatial Camera which offers MotoCrane, Black Arm, Inspire3 drone and Shotover helicopter aerial filming solutions. The company's mission is to provide high-caliber equipment and experienced operators accessible to a broader network of agencies and clients. Jan serves as a precision driver, arm swing operator, and gimbal/camera tech for the Motocrane and Black Arm systems, and works hands-on with all of Spatial’s advanced stabilization setups.
